Chairman's Message

I consider it an honour and a privilege to serve as your Chairman for the coming year and it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the East Dorset Centre rally book for 2012.

I hope you will all enjoy the future rallies and I take this opportunity to thank Pete Roberts along with Sue for all the time and effort spent organising this rally programme.

I would like to welcome my fellow officers, committee and their families and I look forward to working with them all for the year ahead. I am very pleased to announce that we have a full committee this year.

I take this opportunity to thank Adrian and Gill Burton for all their hard work and the support they have given to the centre over many years and I wish them both a well earned retirement.

Our new website is up and running and I thank Matt Hines for the time and effort he has put into it on behalf of the centre.

This year we will once again be holding a charity rally which will take place at our Ladies Rally we will be supporting a charity in the East Dorset area and would appreciate nominations from centre members.

Also this year we have the Wessex Rally whether it is as participator or as a spectator the centre would very much appreciate your support. Carol Hummerstone has joined me as your Wessex representative this year and both Carol and I will be on hand to keep you informed of future developments.

My thanks go to all the rally officers who generously give up their time to run rallies as without them we would not be able to continue to make caravanning a pastime enjoyed by us all.

Special thanks must go to Sue for her constant support and hard work throughout my time on the committee and as Vice Chairman and I know I can rely on this to continue in my role as your Chairman.

Sue and I extend a warm welcome to all members both old and new and as always our caravan door remains open.

We look forward to seeing you on the rally field in the coming year.
