Welcome to the East Dorset Centre Website, for those not familiar with our centre I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself my name is Adrian Burton and my wife’s name is Gill, last October at our AGM, we were given the opportunity to serve for a second year, we are very much looking forward to continuing with this role.
This year our centre welcomes the challenge of the Wessex Rally, the East Dorset centre has always been fully involved within the Wessex from its inception in 1969 which took place at Lulworth Castle, as usual we will be competing and taking part in all categories as well as helping the Wessex celebrate it’s 21st coming of age rally, this event will be taking place over the August Bank Holiday at Frome, in Somerset.
Are you a centre member? If not why not join us it costs nothing, providing you are a Caravan Club member. Joining details can be found on the Caravan Club Website. You can see from our Rally Details page that we have a wide and varied programme that covers the whole 12 months, I’m sure you will find something of interest to you perhaps a Holiday Rally, a Quiet Weekend retreat, Dinner Dance or a Children’s Christmas party just to name a few. Some of these Rallies take place on Commercial Sites at considerable better prices than being independent. One Rally you must not miss is August Bank Holiday, The Wessex as mentioned earlier an event organised jointly from 10 centre’s in our region a bi-annual rally, a full programme of events and entertainment for all the family, places are limited, and details can be found in our Rally Programme.
Many of our rallies are very popular and fill up quickly, so you need to book and plan ahead, this also helps the Rally Officer, running the event for your enjoyment. Dorset is a beautiful part of the country and very popular with visitors from other centre’s, so whether you are a centre member, a visitor or your first rally with us you will always be sure of a warm welcome.
