We thank the West Sussex Centre for allowing East Dorset to Join them on this special rally at Breamore house.

The Cuckoo Fair takes place in Downton village which is about 2.5 miles North of Breamore.

 

This traditional village fair has been running for over a quarter of a century and attracts 20,000 people, for Maypole, Morris dancing and folk entertainment. There will also be over 300 craft stalls and demonstrations.

 

Line dancing, street entertainment, music, the Downton Brass band and plenty for the children. It takes place on the Saturday of the first May Bank Holiday and is held to welcome the arrival of the Cuckoo and the onset of good weather.

There should be ample parking at the Downton School, just before the traffic lights on the right.

Route:   From Ringwood travel North on the A338 go past Fordingbridge until you reach Breamore. Go through Bremore village and continue untill you see the brown sign for Breamore House & Museum on the left. Follow the West Sussex Rally Signs.
