· A group boat trip on the river Thames
· Evenings enjoying the Cricket Club’s discounted bar
· A pub meal out in town
· Quiz night and socials under the gazebos (weather permitting)
· Our traditional flagpole gathering and raffle draw on Sunday morning
There’s plenty of free time to explore historic Abingdon, stroll along the river, or simply relax with friends. The Cricket Club site is on a flat site adjacent to the River Thames, it is a short walk across a bridge into the town which is full of interesting historic buildings including pubs, cafes, shops, restaurants and the Charter Market on Mondays. You will find direct bus links to Oxford, Didcot & Wantage. In Abingdon itself, you will find the County Hall Museum where you can learn the history of Abingdon and climb to the top for fantastic views over the surrounding countryside.
