RALLY No 16 Friday 31st May- Tuesday 4th June 2024

ABINGDON CRICKET GROUND - Abingdon

Long Weekend

Come and join us for a lovely long weekend in early June in the historic market town of Abingdon.

The site is situated at Abingdon Vale Cricket Club on a flat field, with short grass, on the banks of the river Thames.

A short walk along the Thames path takes you to Abingdon town centre where you will find direct bus links to Oxford, Didcot & Wantage. In Abingdon itself, you will find the County Hall Museum where you can learn the history of Abingdon and climb to the top for fantastic views over the surrounding countryside.

Abingdon is an architectural joy, with plenty of interesting, buildings and a variety of shops, restaurants, and parks. Why not watch the boats go by on the water whilst enjoying a drink or two at “The Nags Head” on the bridge or even hire a boat yourself and pootle up the Thames. There are lots of walks or, if you prefer, cycle routes taking you to Oxford, Didcot etc.
