RALLY No 14 Friday 30th June- Sunday 2nd July 2023
The Blue Pool - Furzebrook
The Blue Pool - Nature Reserve
Welcome back to this very popular Beauty Spot at Furzebrook near Wareham.
The pool, nestled in Pine forests has become a natural reserve, wildlife refuge and sanctuary and is a protected area for flora and fauna and its geological features.
As well as the original tearooms the park now boasts a new ice cream parlour.
The new owners have many respectful and sympathetic new projects planned for the near future. Keep an eye on their website for the latest news.
People ask why is the pool blue? So don't quote me but I think the pool used to be a clay pit and the clay particles suspended in the water refract the sunlight and give it the blue appearance.
Tickets for entry into the pool can be purchased from the pay hut at the entrance.
Nearby you can visit Wareham, Corfe Castle, Swanage, Kimmeridge, Twynham Village and Lulworth Cove
Please take care when leaving the park with your unit. Ignore the Exit signs which will take you under a low bridge, go out via the main drive which you used on the way in. Be aware there are few passing places.
