RALLY No 24 Thursday 14th September - Monday 18th September 2023
We were last here at Limpley Stoke in 2015 so it's a welcome return to this site which is alongside the Kennet & Avon canal, adjacent to the Basin and the Dundass Aquaduct.
You can walk or cycle along the towpath to Bathampton or Bradford on Avon, cycle hire is available or if you prefer you can hire electric boats from the Basin. Why not enjoy a snack or ice cream at the Angelfish restaurant and watch the boats and barges on the canal. Calor gas is available at the visitors centre and there is a small shop and local garage just 300 metres along the tow path for essential food provisions.
The site is a large flat field and there is a bus stop just outside the gate.
The City of Bath is only a short bus ride away or a walk/cycle along the canal path if you prefer. You can also drive to the city as there are P & R car parks on the outskirts of the city. Bath has a wide range of attractions including the Roman Baths and Spa, Fashion Museum, Museum of work, Postal Museum and a very interesting American Heritage Museum. If you like shopping Bath has an extensive range of both large and small shops together with numerous restaurants to suit every taste. Why not try the famous Bath Bun at Sally Lunn’s tea room located in the centre of the city.
